You can send emails and watch webinars just fine. But when it comes to live streaming work for your event, relying on Wi-Fi is a no-no.

 Wi-Fi is not built for the kind of bandwidth that live streaming requires. It can get bogged down by lots of people trying to access it at once (like during an event), and in some instances, it just isn't reliable enough.
