Are your live stream events inclusive?

Are you making sure that your live stream events are inclusive? Are you considering the needs of all attendees? It is easy to get lost in the production planning but remember you must keep your community top of mind.

So, here are my recommendations to ensure your next live stream event is inclusive:

#1 Know your target audience

At this stage you should have a clear understanding of your audience. For instance, do you have a mix of bilingual speakers, or disabled attendees? Use that information to help tailor your live stream to meet their needs and create an enjoyable virtual experience for all.

#2 Ask your attendees

Asking questions before the event can help you understand what their needs are and how to meet them better. In the case of a virtual event, including a question or two on your registration form will give insight into what accommodations need to be made.

#3 Communicate information and updates to attendees before the event

Share notices and information about the live stream before the day of the event. For example, if you are using flash images share this information with your attendees to make them aware.
